Dance Agencies

When celebrities and directors need dancers, they go to dance studios and companies to find trained dancers to play their part in videos, roles, and even acting and modeling positions. There's the occasional open dance auditions, but as for most of the work that needs to be done, people go to the agencies where qualified dancers are readily available. Different agencies dancers can sign with are: Bloc, Xcel, DDO, MSA plus many more. Bloc is a very popular agency with big named choreographers like Sean Bankhead, Fatima Robinson, and Luam Keflezgy .

I think dancing with an agency is a good way to have opportunities available to you and get proffessional training and experience, but I am a huge advocate for individuality and sometimes being a part of an agency they want you to do what they think is best for you and it might not be what you think is truly your personality or your style so i encourage everyone to always keep their own style as well as gain proffessionalism!!!

Dancing with an agency would open doors but what about those that can't afford to be with an agency? I think they would get left out or behind just becasue they don't have fundings to get to where they want to be.. Although an agency would give you professional experience I think individual dancers should have the chance to prove themselves more often.

Being a part of a dance agency is a great opportunity and gateway for a dancer to excel in the business. Do you plan to become a part of a dance agency? If so, which one and why?

I kind of agree with Ariel on this issue. People who cannot afford to get involved with an agency are kind of left out. They should have equal opportunity just as much as other dancers.

being apart of a dancing agency is for people whose life is nothing but dance, being able to have a better opportunity to be hired to dance for a celebrity can be life changing. i think its takes true dedication to become a dancer and also make it a living. is it affordable though?

I love that you believe in yourself and that you can make it first. I think that people who inspire to dance who need help to get out there and have experience need this type of Info . But Are there any Agencies that would'nt care about the fact if you have money or not . Are there any more opportunities out there if you don't get an Agency.

They need more diversed dance studios located in here, in louisville. They majority of dance studios here focuses on mainly ballet.
